PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Showing on the Alley Stage.

Described by the author as "a political fable in two acts," this up-to-the-minute comedy takes on politics, the media and the publishing industry as it swings satirically and with razor-sharp wit. A serious author writes a spoof advocating extreme right-wing positions and is put on a pedestal by those he is spoofing. Wildly funny and insightful.

The Experts Say...

Creative Loafing
by Curt Holman
September 16, 2000
Curt seems to say this production of a satire goes too much for the funny, the "overcooked acting fits uncomfortably with the play's irksome qualities, although 'The Return to Morality' has some timely relevance."
