Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award for an emerging playwright. Noted by the AJC as one of 2007’s “Best Shows,” Gee’s Bend tells the story of the courageous African-American quilters from Gee’s Bend, Alabama, whose faith and craft transformed suffering and injustice into beauty and meaning.
